I know those closest to the action are all crazed by this year's elections, but frankly I think Joe Q Public is pretty bored with the whole thing.
What are we really going to change in Porter County? Is the "no growth" gang going to actually lose so we can regain our pro-growth and pro-jobs agenda? No. Far too many regular people who live in Porter County have been duped into thinking that growth is bad and that no-growth could be healthy.
Is the anti-development and anti-housing group going to acknowledge our economies dependance on these jobs and affordable housing? Of course not. They still think Porter County is all about steel jobs and driving to Chicago.
Frankly, not a lot is going to change until regular citizens catch some heat. Costas has done such a good job in Valpo that people think all the politicians will be like him. Trust me, they won't.
