Valparaiso Leaders Continue to do what they do best - Lead

Mayor Jon Costas and Republican Chairman Chuck Williams have completed a week of leadership, or at least this week we got to see the results of their 4 years of leadership. The round-about, County Seat, and now commuter bus. What next?

Winners by the book in Porter County

Costas, Velazquez for Valpo, Portage

In Valparaiso, Mayor Jon Costas has shaken off the city's reputation as a quaint but slightly sleepy place.

Although Olson isn't seeking re-election, he's supporting Democrat City Councilwoman Olga Velazquez to carry on his work. Already, she is pushing for the creation of a "riverwalk entertainment complex" along Burns Waterway -- a grand plan for a long-neglected and abused natural resource.
