Northwest Indiana Housing Conference

Missed the 2007 conference, but I'll be keeping my eye on them for next year. Even though Porter County doesn't have a large homeless problem, yet, we are headed that direction due to population increases.

Democrats have to be ticked now

After trying to years to find a way to keep Porter Hospital government owned, the Democrat controlled government in Porter County Indiana finally relented to public outcry for better healthcare and agreed to sell the hospital. Then the fight over who gets to control the money, with political insiders favoring a locked safe mentality that wouldn't even let the county council have control over it's own money.

Again the public won, and the council controls it's own money. And they can be voted out if they waste it.

At one point the democrats were even suggesting that we grant a "monopoly" status to Porter and its buyers so they could make as much money as possible under government protection. This too was blocked in favor of competition and health care in Porter County.

Now today we learn that Valparaiso was once again out in front, with some positive leadership in the face of Democrat status quo, and a new hospital will be built on valpo's eastside along the 49 bypass. New Valparaiso Indiana Hospital.

Good work Mayor Costas and Valparaiso Community Leaders!

It is a strange turn of events. Hillary gets $8Million for her forthcoming memoir. Bill gets about $12 Million for hismemoir yet to be written.
