Democrats in disarray at convention

Some of the "blue" variety were gleeful about our Republican convention and the highly contested AG race ... even suggesting that the battle showed Governor Daniels some problems in November. That was until they started their own convention to enough problems of their own.

Reports from around the state:

Democrat hatred of Jill Long Thompson unifies democrats at convention
Complete with a comment suggesting some democrats would rather see four more years of Mitch Daniels than Jill.

The United Auto Workers have refused to endorse the gubernatorial campaign of Jill Long Thompson. According to Danny Ernstes, chairman of the Marion County UAW CAP Council, the UAW met at the Indiana Democratic Convention this morning and voted not to endorse the Democratic nominee. -- Howey Politics Indiana

Word had it that the ousting of Democratic Chairman Michael O'Connor may be imminent, possibly after this weekend's state party convention. O'Connor in the past two years has presided over the campaigns of two major Democratic losses: Melina Kennedy for prosecutor and Bart Peterson's bid for re-election as mayor. -- Indianpolis Star
