This is why they still vote
Talk about a tough week for the state's political elite. First, Jon Costas went down after being endorsed by Governor Daniels. Then, this past Saturday, Rep. Matt Bell lost his bid to replace retiring Sen. Bob Meeks on the ballot to his colleague Rep. Marlin Stutzman. Bell was endorsed by Sen. Meeks and supported by Senate President David Long.
I am still concerned that we aren't stepping up like the Ron Paul and Barack Obama teams of internet denizens and creating massive grass roots organizations. We as Republicans have a lot to accomplish if we want to continue growing this state and nation on principles of small government and freedom.

Ron Paul is a Republican and his supporters are Rebublicans as well. They are as much a part of the Republican party as the RINO faction. Their involvement in the Republican party is a very good thing, and I wish people would stop treating them as if they were interlopers. They believe in less government and are strict constitutionalists, which are things the Republican party used to stand for.
Amen apples of gold! I couldn't have said it better myself! That's the reason I became libertarian, not because I didn't agree with what the Republican party stood for, but because as a party it left its beliefs. McCain and other Republicans want bigger government, more bureaucracy, and less privacy/freedom for its citizens. It's ludicrous!
This country needs to go back to the Constitution and follow it, and not get the government involved in every problem that the market could effectively handle, and for much cheaper! No offense, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that McCain wants bigger government, more war, and more spending!
Ron Paul supporters made a video about McCain in which he blatantly says that he doesn't agree with what the majority of Americans want. Then we shouldn't vote for him!
If you are a Republican you support Republican Candidates. To put stuff out there about McCain the Republican candidate makes no sense. So what the Paulers can say see Ron Paul should have won? Instead they pave the way for the most liberal candidate in history Obama. They tear apart candidates such as Ed Soliday a great state rep for their own use. They lie to your face. How Republican is lying to someone? Take money for their candidates from special interest groups. Shall I go on? If this is the grassroots of the party I want out!
Good riddance, RepublicansRock. We don't want you in the party unless you stand for what the party stands for: small government, low taxes, personal liberty.
If you are a true Republican, you don't support someone just because he wears the Republican label. A candidate must stand for those principles or he is just a RINO, and not worthy of support.
