Three Plans For Illiana Expressway
Just when it seemed like action on the Illiana Expressway had ground to a halt after the rough and tumble political battles of last year comes new that its planners have been moving forward with their studies.
The first of six Illiana Expressway studies has fixed the boundaries of the proposed highway that will connect I-65 to I-57. Within those boundaries, Illiana Expressway planners will explore a northern, central and southern Illiana Expressway route.
Thanks for the report Chris, I am 100% for this construction project. How about you?

Hi Steve,
I'm all for it also. If we don't do something now, we'll end up having to tear up more houses later on to build the Illiana Expressway at a much higher cost for the real estate, materials and labor cost -- as well as lost economic development opportunities.
Even if gasoline goes up to $10.00 / gallon, we'll still need efficient highway systems because clogged traffic arteries are highly inefficient.
Yes - I am so for this and wish they would get started already.
This is ridiculous. I'm so tired of economic development being the buzz words. Eventually, there will be nothing more in this country to develop, then what???
The good ole US will be one big urban sprawl. Yuck!
