New writers here on Porter County Politics

Due to the increased volume and commenting activity we've decided to add a few more writers to our Porter County Politics site.

If you are a regular reader and avid political hack, leave a comment below if you'd like to also write on the site. The site is "not" devoted to entirely Republican ideas and candidates, although so far since I am strongly Republican that seems the general direction. I am open to a free flow of ideas ... as the blogosphere so wildly celebrates.

Our writers will post thoughts, ideas, links to things we need to read, event notices and even argue a bit. I'll moderate and delete if things get too far off the path ... and would prefer no foul language or spamming. The goal of the site is not for everyone to agree, but for more to be challenged to think and get involved.

Haven't tuned into the airwaves today but saw that the first initial reports that Hilary was going to concede this evening. Later it seems that this is not going to be the case. Was wondering if Barack’s people tried to push an agenda here and get her to climb on board tonight? Seems like she wants to hang on for dear life as long as she can to prove her point…I’m no defeatist.

I think she'll announce tonite that "sure Obama has enough delegates, if they all still like him at the time of the convention"

Then she'll take a pause and let her attorneys try some appeals on the Michigan and Florida rulings.

She has no reason to do anything, they can't force her out, and she can actually wait until the convention vote.

I'm a regular reader and attended my first GOP convention in 1992 and two since. I was sidelined in 2000 after my husband sustained a brain injury, but he's well, and I'm "back in the saddle" and ready to ride. I've helped with various campaigns throughout the years, supporting George Witwer, John Price, and former Congressman John Myers. I'd be glad to contribute from my little corner of the world. We'll actually, I'm situated in a rural area surrounded by cornfields, but I do know there's more than corn in Indiana.

Here is how I think it will go down with Hillary. Barack will offer to pay her campaign debt if she comes out with the I am not interested in VP. Then she will ask all her supporters to support Barack for the sake of the party.

Really I could care less who the VP is my concerns lie more with the fact that if McCain had Wright, Ayers, Rezko, Pfleger etc... ties they would have already hung him out to dry instead they keep playing the same line for each of these people.

When faced with these Obama say "That is not the (fill in the blank with the name) that I used to know.

Then the media gives him a pass. When does the honeymoon end?
