Reaching young voters online

Young Internet Voter.com post today on Capital Gig gives the results of a survey of young voters and the way they follow news and interact.

Some highlights, go to link above to read entire article:

Getting Social: Perhaps some of the most telling statistics revolve around this demographic’s monthly participation in social media

Waggener Edstrom Worldwide released results from the Young Internet Voter of 2008 Study.

The author goes on to state a very important point though, will these young voters who are so engaged right now online, actually go to the voting booth? Obama's success in the primaries would seem to suggest that they will. But a hard fought bitter campaign may also frustrate these voters and cause some apathy on election day.

From my perspective, Republicans aren't doing enough to engage each other or undecideds online and in social media.
