Who are you supporting to VP choice for McCain?

We've covered a few of the choices right here on Porter County Politics, and when the Democrats were in Northwest Indiana for the primary we pointed out some of the key differences.

I am most serious about Sarah Palin, the current Governor of Alaska. I am stopping short of an outright endorsement, even though I would pick up some link juice from the "draft sarah palin" sites. But, she's a strong conservative, pro-life, pro-guns, budget balancing, drill in ANWR, female successful politician who's run a state. That's a darn good start.

So, I'm sure many of you have opinions, let's hear em.

After watching both McCain’s and Obama’s speeches on TV Tuesday night, McCain no less than NEEDS to run Alaska Gov Sarah Palin as his VP mate.

Ditto to Governor Palin. Though my guess is she's running a distant fourth behind Governor's Jindal of LA, Sanford of SC, and Pawlenty of MN. Don't know much about Pawlenty, but the other two are strong fiscal and social conservative governors.

Jindal is a star in the making. But he needs more seasoning so I hope they don't pluck him too early.

Bottom line, with Palin as VP, McCain WINS.

Without Palin, McCain likely does not win.
