After Russia attacks Georgia during the Olympics, what else could Obama do?
Even though running a campaign of change, he chooses the status quo for his Vice Presidential candidate of choice. If this is the a way to innoculate Obama against his lack of experience in foreign policy, it may be too little too late since most astute Americans see the choice for what it is. Pandering to public opinion.

It would appear that being out of state, clearly makes you think differently about the "state" we're in. Obama chose experience and name recognition as a veep to appeal to the "experienced" generation (who also experience really bad hair days).
Maybe that's it...like picking a horse in a race because you like the colors not the track record. Sometimes they payoff. this time, time I don't think so.

You are correct that for some reason the American public hasn't caught on that the "labels" aren't as important as the leader's tuly innate qualities
Can they make a hard decision? Will they protect the US instead of themselves? Will they lie to gain for themselves
Obama is just a fresher marketing package with very little inside the package
