Leyva blogging from the shadows

You'll notice that last week I posted a comment on Mark Leyva's blog, when he was slamming the federal "bailout" of Fannie and Freddie.  At that time I wondered aloud if he would actually post the comment, or deign to debate the complicated issue.  Don't mess with housing until you spend the time and the energy to understand it.

Let me be the first to say to politicians playing around at blogging, STOP IT!  Either engage and debate and be transparent, or quit playing like you care.  Blogs aren't for broadcasting your recent thoughts and then disregarding feedback, that's what newspapers and TV's do ... we've all moved beyond that.

Here's his recent post and my comment, which again probably won't get published or responded, for the record I bought a ticket and now I'm wondering if that was a bad idea.

  1. I knew I was wishing openness and fairness on you Mark. It can’t be a good call to try and raise money in Jon Costas’ neighborhood while going against the grain.

If you want to blog, then blog openly.

If you want to broadcast, there are other means for doing so.

Maybe Mark will see this and respond. Maybe he didn't get the back and forth of blogging. But given his trouble in beating Visclosky he should jump at the chance to interact with blogs and their readers. If he doesn't bother responding I'll just write him off.

No responses yet and frankly his blog is worthless, today reprinting a letter to the editor he wrote for one of his supporters.

Let's just say the Lake County Republicans aren't in the 21st Century yet. I'm holding out hope that the Ron Paulers can win that house seat, by working harder than anyone ever has to get one, and shake up the status quo
