Greg Zoeller - Our pick for Attorney General

Indiana Attorney General Race - Pick Zoeller

I know a bit about the Indiana Attorney General race this year. During the spring of 2007, I was excited about the potential for my good friends Mayor Jon Costas running for Attorney General in Indiana. Alas, Jon was soundly beaten at the party convention by current Deputy AG Greg Zoeller.

As the dust settled though I came to learn more about our competitor, and find him to be absolutely the best candidate for the job in the race. The Democrat running has connections to corruption in Lake County and just doesn't have the experience to run this important office.

Without any second thoughts, we have and Red County has, endorsed Greg Zoeller for Attorney General in the State of Indiana.

I think it tells a great deal about our Party's unity that Jon Costas stepped up to become Greg's Campaign Manager! Let's go Team Mitch!

It tells a great deal about Jon Costas, that he would run without attacking, that he would lose honorably, and then chair the election team for Greg Zoeller.

But because we both know Jon, we know that he wouldn't have chaired unless he believed that Greg was by far the best candidate, and that Linda Pence is wrong for Indiana
