Sorry folks, this is not a continuation of the seven part series. Unfortunately with all that is going on locally in politics, I have not had time to sit down and put my thought together in a coherent manner to complete the series. Soon I promise. Otherwise, enjoy this.

Exit Agenda Left
In recent weeks the cry from the Left and Centrists especially, is simply this:
Government Is Broken
This is a ludicrous concept at best. George Will was right when he said:
“Government is only broken when the Left can’t enact their agenda.”
In actuality, it is working just fine and working currently the exact way it was intended. America was designed to be a small government society for our fore fathers took their que from history, meaning, they saw the flaws inherent in all other forms of Government. Knowing these flaws and the dangers they present, they created a government that espoused the fears of big government and put in place measures that would at the most, derail big government efforts and at the very least, keep it at a slow moving crawl.
I think it is widely accepted in most circles that the far Left agenda is a dangerous concept, even for the misguided Centrists. However, there seems to be this media created perception that Government serves best when it is served from the center. That somehow when we blend small government concepts with big government agenda, we Americans think we are getting the best of both worlds. This perception is a media creation and has been repeated over and over again, especially for the last 50 years, till we have a nation full of centrists calling out that Washington is BROKEN, and of course, joined by the Left as they always are.
Nikita Khrushchev once said, “We can’t except American people to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can help their elected leaders in giving them small doses of socialism, until they have awakened in a Communist State.” This is the mantra of the Centrists and especially the misguided Centrists Republicans of whom I now, and perhaps rightfully so, refer to as Neo-Progressives. They employ this slow dose socialism which always leads to larger doses when their small dose scheme begins to fail, as any form of socialism always does.
Essentially, Washington is not broken. What has broken is this idea that we can effectively govern from the center. That concept has always been a broken concept. Although, Main Stream Media (MSM) would have all of us believe otherwise. We need a Second American Revolution to be fought and won at the ballot box. We need articulate individuals that can explain why small doses of socialism are just as damaging as large doses.
What America needs is more Mike Pences and Jim Demints and less John McCains and Joe Liebermans.
What America needs is more Mike Pences and Jim Demints and less John McCains and Joe Liebermans.
We need a concentrated effort like the 1994 ‘Contract with America’ but with more follow through instead of the idea professed by centrists that its time to govern and get things accomplished. Abandoning the ‘Contract with America’ and ‘Getting things accomplished’ is what got us into this mess in the 1st place.
Support the 2nd American Revolution by joining us at the ballot box and by joining great organizations like the Republican Liberty Caucus.

You stated "I think it is widely accepted in most circles that the far Left agenda is a dangerous concept"
I think the same can be said about the far Right agenda...

Institutionalizing small government action is something that a lot of free market people have tried to do, and failed. I've my own ideas and have laid some of them out elsewhere (identify and cut the bottom x% every year). Instead of more general proposals that simply dead end, I'd like to hear more specifics. How do you arrange to get around the institutional bias towards larger government? What would work in your opinion?
Valpo Girl - I would be fascinated to hear what you think is far right and why that sentiment would be germane to this post.
So, to be clear. You think the principles that gave us prosperity for over two centuries is a dangerous concept?
That personal responsibility is an archaic, out of touch concept?
Read some Walter E Williams, he explains very well in some of his writings how LBJ's 'Great Society' has actually made matters worse and entrapped more under the poverty level.
AT least the far right agenda emphasizes personal responsibility rather than the far Lefts concept of, it always someone else's fault.
