Rules meant to be broken?

Yes, I'm supporting Marlin Stutzman for United States Senate. No, this site will not be endorsing any candidates due to the sheer volume of opinions from our 27 authors. You'll find articles on township, county, region and statewide elections. And I'm sure the volume of articles in the next two weeks will be quite high. This yesterday:

Sylvia Smith: Only Stutzman Files Financial Disclosure on Time

Stutzman marlin senate 02 Sylvia Smith of the Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette has just posted a story noting that Marlin Stutzman was the lone candidate for the Republican nomination for US Senate to file the required financial disclosure on time.

This will become an important story statewide giving State Senator Stutzman a boost at a critical time just three weeks out from primary election day. The news allows him to distinguish himself from the other four contenders in what will be substantial free media over the next several days.

Ms. Smith reported:

All but one candidate for the GOP Senate nomination have missed a deadline for disclosing their income and financial holdings.

Marlin Stutzman, one of five contenders for his party's nod, filed the required form, but the others have not. Their reports are 10 days overdue.
