The End of An Embarassing Era: Mark Leyva Not Running For Congress
The Munchkins are dancing and singing today as the reign of Mark Leyva, our Republican US Congressional Candidate for the past bazillion years, finally and officially came to an end. The ever-failing Mark Leyva didn't file for US Representative this year, so he won't be on the ballot.
Instead, he's running for Lake County Commissioner against incumbent Republican Councilwoman Debbie Astor of Dyer in the Republican Primary there.
That's EXACTLY what Lake County needs! A ruthless and stupid failure of a human being (if you can call him that) running what will undoubtedly be another smear campaign against an already elected Republican office-holder.
Look, if you need to compare the candidates here's all you need to know. Mark Leyva is about as good at managing money as he is at managing his own campaign. Instead of getting a real job, Mark Leyva has been a welching off his sick father. But their pockets were only so deep and Mark had to file bankruptcy for spending money he didn't have. Does that problem sound familiar? It's ironic that a man this irresponsible made himself the leader of the Lake County Tea Party, don't you think?
He doesn't just lack any sort of respectable education, he lacks common sense. At least when he was running for Congress, he was running for a position where it was okay to be stupid because most of his colleges would be almost as dumb as he is. But County Commissioner? There's a lot more responsibility involved with that position.
Lake County is already screwed up pretty bad. Is it just me, or does it seem as though adding a Commissioner as brain damaged and self-centered as Mark Leyva the WORST thing for the county?
I'm not actually from Lake County - I'm from Porter County, so by rights, I should just be happy I don't have to see his fat head name on the ballot yet again. But, as most of us in Porter County know, Lake County's troubles have a way of spilling over the county line and becoming problems for us, too.
So yeah - I'm glad he's no longer going to be humiliating us in Porter County. Really glad. But that doesn't mean he's out of our hair yet.
